David Stonehouse Chairman
David joined unw as Chairman in October 2002. A former Price Waterhouse audit partner, David has been on the main board of three listed companies. He was finance director at Quality Care Homes plc and Sunderland plc (which he floated in 1996) as well as chief executive of Newcastle United plc. He is also chief executive of Technology Services Group (TSG), a fast-growing IT company. He is also a non-Executive Director of NEL Fund Managers Limited.
Since joining unw, David has led a re-focus of its activities and service offerings. He has brought his extensive experience to unw and its clients, offering practical advice and guidance on business issues which face growing as well as established companies
David's non-business interests outside of his family include being a Trustee of The Royal Grammar School, playing tennis and following Newcastle United. David is a keen charity supporter and 2003 trekked to Everest base camp with his daughter to raise money for Barnardos. Through this and other efforts David has personally raised over £30,000 for this charity.
