Steve joined unw on 1 March 2006. Before joining unw, he was a director with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led the private client, entrepreneurial companies and M & A tax services for the North East.
Steve spent over 19 years with PwC and it predecessor firms; the first 9 in London before returning to his native North East. Steve trained in audit and then decided to specialise in providing both corporate and personal tax advice, which he has continued to do for over 16 years. As a result of his wide-ranging experience, Steve often takes on a "trusted adviser" role for clients, acting as a sounding board on strategy, succession planning and other business issues.
Outside of work, Steve spends a lot of time watching the Wiggles, Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder interspersed with trips to the park, swimming baths, TJ's Jungle and anywhere else that might be appealing for his 3 pre-school children. Steve's children are keen to grow up so Dad doesn't have an excuse for playing with their toys!
