CSR and working with corporates from a charity’s perspective
Date: Thursday 11th May 2017
Time: 4pm for 4.30pm start / closing at 5.30pm
Location: UNW LLP, Citygate, St James’ Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JE
As a follow-up to our Corporate Social Responsibility briefing in December 2016, where Louise Hunter, Director of Corporate Affairs at Northumbrian Water outlined her experiences of encouraging corporate bodies and the voluntary sector to work together for mutual benefit, we are delighted to invite you to our next event which will explore CSR from a charity’s perspective.
We are thrilled to announce that we will be joined by not one, but three, guest speakers from Percy Hedley Foundation.
Sheila Coltman (Corporate Partnerships Manager), Maria Hallett (Community & Event Fundraising Manager) and Danny Mitchell (Capital Appeal Manager) will discuss their experiences of engaging with corporates, what has worked well and not so well, and how much time should be invested by both to get the most out of CSR.
UNW’s own current charity of the year, ‘Smile for Life’ will bring their pop-up ‘Café Beam’ to the briefing and will be serving coffee, tea, homemade cakes and delicious baked goods all made by their beneficiaries. Paula Gascoigne, Chief Executive at Smile for Life will also reflect on the charity’s experiences of working with corporate organisations.
