Charity briefing – TUPE and Business Transfers for Charities

Date: Wednesday 20th September 2017
Time: 4pm for 4.30pm start, closing at 5.30pm (approx.)
Location: UNW, Citygate, St. James’ Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JE

Whether it be through contract wins and losses or the outsourcing of arrangements, many charities get involved in business transfers. Due to this, they can become susceptible to the implications and risk of employment law responsibilities under the TUPE regulations.

We are delighted to be joined by Paul McGowan, Principal Solicitor and Founder at Newcastle based specialist employment law firm Collingwood Legal, who will be providing a user-friendly step by step introduction to what can be a complex area of risk for charities.

Paul will also discuss when TUPE applies, what happens when it does and what charity employers need to do to comply with the law.
