How do I plan for the sale of my business?

We define the value of the company and identify likely companies and individuals who would be interested in acquiring it. We manage the entire negotiating process on behalf of the seller.

The sale process begins with a detailed 'Memorandum' from unw to interested parties. The preferred purchaser is selected on the basis of the offers received. unw's experience in this area helps to assess:

  • The amount of cash payable as purchase consideration
  • The strategic fit between the existing company and the interested party
  • The interested party's plans with regard to existing employees
  • Other conditions such as shareholder approvals or regulatory consents.
