New tax partner for unw
Employment tax expert Lee Muter has become the latest in a line of leading specialists to join accountants unw.
Lee Muter has joined the expanding Newcastle business adviser as employment taxes partner from Ernst & Young where he was the director in charge of their Human Capital business in the North East and Scotland.
His appointment comes after Paul Kaiser recently joined unw as a corporate finance partner after more than two decades with Deloitte.
unw employment taxes partner Lee Muter said: “Before I spoke to unw I had never considered moving out of the ‘big four’ but after an initial meeting I was very excited by the opportunity.
“The unw proposition of providing clients with technical expertise combined with a focus on client service and value for money has been very successful and I liked the attitude that runs through the firm.
“The more I thought about it and the more I found out about unw, the more excited I became. I enjoy working with clients and working as part of a team; the unw team is very strong across all departments and their views on how to help clients are very similar to my own.”
Mr Muter, who lives in Hexham, Northumberland, will provide employers with advice in a wide range of areas, including salary sacrifice, employment status, termination payments, construction industry scheme and benefits in kind.
